Unlike upper implants, we are typically working with less bone in the lower jaw. Fortunately, we can tilt the back two implants to make use of the bone we have. By tilting the back implants, we can bypass the nerve in the lower jaw and gain more stability.

The All-on-4 Dental Implant Process
The first step in the dental implant process is to have a comprehensive consultation and CT scan with Dr. Benson. He will determine if you are a candidate for All-on-4 and will answer all of your questions.

Next, we will take records and impressions of your mouth to design your new teeth. Your extractions and dental implant surgery will be scheduled once we have fabricated your temporary teeth.

During your surgery, Dr. Benson will remove any remaining teeth in your lower jaw. He will then place four dental implants. Once the implants are placed, Dr. Benson will attach your temporary teeth to the implants. The temporary teeth are made of acrylic. You will leave our office with a beautiful set of teeth that are stable and function like real teeth.

You will wear the temporary teeth for approximately three months. During this time, your implants will heal and fuse to your bone. This process is called osseointegration.

Once the implants are healed, Dr. Benson will take new impressions and records to design your final set of teeth. The final teeth are made of a stronger, higher-quality material, such as zirconia or a hybrid titanium/acrylic framework, and are designed to last a lifetime.

You will return to our office to have your final set of teeth attached to the implants. Dr. Benson will ensure the fit and bite are perfect. You are now ready to enjoy your new, beautiful smile and eat whatever foods you want!
